Description
An albino mexican gold poppy (Eschscholzia californica ssp. mexicans ) just opening for the day. This rare flower is only found at Bartlett Lake in Arizona. Typically this wildflower is bright gold. This particular wildflower is only open during the day and closed up at night. On a cloudy day, the poppies stay closed.

We have an entire poppy plant with these albino flowers amidst our prolific Golden Poppies in here in Northern California. . My husband just spotted it and took a picture.
